New Hoopla and Zinio Apps

Two apps - Hoopla and Zinio - have gotten upgrades!

Hoopla
Hoopla's new update, called LightSpeed, is brighter, faster, and easier to use.

And if you're a new user, the sign-up process takes just seconds. Download the Hoopla app to get started. With Hoopla, you have access to:

• Movies
• TV
• Music
• Audiobooks

Plus, there is never any waiting period! Everything you see can be downloaded right away- there are never any holds. Framingham residents get 5 check outs a month. Movies and TV episodes are kept for 3 days, Music albums 7 days, and Audiobooks 21 days. For more info, visit our Digital page.

Zinio
Zinio's new app is completely different. This is not an update to the regular Zinio app; instead it is an entirely separate app that is just for library users. This means that if you download the new app, you will no longer be burdened with the commercial side of the Zinio app that displays magazines for purchase. Now you will see ONLY the Library magazines that you have borrowed- and nothing else.

Right now, the new app is available for iPad users and Android users. (It is not yet available for Kindle Fire HD/HDX and iPhone users, but will be in the near future.)

The old Zinio app will continue to work for all users. The new app is optional, but it makes it easier to see what you have checked out.

First set up your Mango account online with your library card number, then search for “Mango Languages” in your App or Play Store

AccessMyLibrary: Gale Reference Databases
To use the App for the first time, you must be within 10 miles of the library. Once you are in the App, enter the password, Patriot. Now you will be able to use the App remotely.

Mango Languages App

There is a Mango Languages app available for the iPhone, iPod, or iTouch. People with one of these devices and a Framingham Public Library card can use Mango Languages from anywhere! The app is available for free from the iTunes store.
